Masked perpetrator shoots doctor dead in his clinic
The attack took place on October 7 at the Cirumed Clinic in Marbella, in the province of Málaga. According to media reports, a masked man dressed in black entered the clinic and went to the office of the 57-year-old surgeon. There, he allegedly fired several shots at close range. It was too late to save Aslani.
The alleged perpetrator reportedly fled on a motorcycle afterwards. According to reports, he was wearing a helmet and a hood during the attack. The National Police have launched an investigation to clarify the sequence of events and the background of the incident.
18-year-old Swede suspected of murder
Spanish police arrested an 18-year-old Swedish national yesterday, Thursday. The arrest took place less than 24 hours after the fatal attack. The young man is considered the suspected shooter. Whether he acted alone or other individuals were involved in the crime is the subject of the ongoing investigation.
Media reports are also discussing the possibility of a contract killing. So far, however, neither the person who commissioned the hit nor the order itself has been officially confirmed.
Investigators are examining a possible dispute with a patient
A conflict related to a cosmetic procedure is being investigated as a possible motive. According to media reports, a patient was reportedly dissatisfied with a planned or agreed-upon treatment and had demanded a refund. There are also reports of possible threats made against the doctor prior to the incident.
Some reports also link the patient’s social circle to the conflict. It has not yet been established whether these events are actually connected to the killing. The police have commented only sparingly on the possible background.
Internationally renowned cosmetic surgeon
Alexander Aslani worked as a plastic surgeon in Marbella and headed the Cirumed Clinic. He specialized in areas such as body contouring, liposuction, and the so-called Brazilian Butt Lift. His clinic also treated international patients. According to media reports, Aslani had a significant social media presence. Previously, he had worked at private hospitals belonging to the Quirón Group in Málaga and Marbella, among other locations.
The Málaga Provincial College of Physicians condemned the fatal act of violence and expressed its condolences to the surgeon’s family and colleagues. Investigations are ongoing. The focus is on the motive, the possible involvement of other individuals, and the circumstances under which the attack was planned.
