Anyone dreaming of owning a home in Spain would normally have to dig deep into their pockets. In an unusual raffle in the province of Málaga, however, just ten euros is enough for a chance to win a property.
The raffle involves two newly built houses, each with an estimated value of around €180,000. In addition, the two winners will each receive €20,000, which can be used to furnish the property.
More than 40,000 tickets already sold
The promotion has clearly attracted considerable interest: more than 40,000 tickets have already been sold. A total of 200,000 tickets are available.
A ticket costs just ten euros. However, this is not a bargain property sale but a traditional raffle. Only two participants will ultimately win a house.
According to the published information, the promotion is open to adults who are legal residents of Spain. Entries can be submitted online and will remain open until 1 October 2026.
Newly built homes with three bedrooms
The two properties are far from basic or in need of renovation. Both homes are newly built and offer around 100 square metres of living space each. They feature three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and air conditioning. The properties also come with a balcony and a private terrace or courtyard.
The properties are located in Cuevas del Becerro, a municipality in the inland area of Málaga province. The town is set in a rural landscape and provides a good base for exploring various attractions and natural areas in the region.
Draw to take place in October
The wait to find out the winners will not be a long one. According to the published information, the winners will be drawn on 2 October 2026. The draw will take place under the supervision of a notary.
The winners will also benefit from an additional financial advantage: according to the published information, the organiser will cover the costs of transferring ownership, notary fees and the first legally required tax payment.
Chance to win a house for ten euros – but there’s a catch
As spectacular as the offer may sound, the odds of winning should not be overlooked. With 200,000 tickets available and just two houses up for grabs, there are only two main prizes.
If all tickets are sold, the mathematical odds of winning one of the two houses would be around 1 in 100,000. With more than 40,000 tickets already sold, this ratio could still change if the maximum number of tickets is not reached.
The promotion also highlights the growing interest in unconventional ways of getting onto the Spanish property ladder. With property prices proving a challenge for many people in some of the country’s most popular regions, the prospect of a newly built home for just ten euros initially sounds almost too good to be true.
