Málaga marks the start of this tour. After being on display at the city hall of the Andalusian provincial capital on Sunday and Monday, the trophy is moving to the Centre Pompidou Málaga today, Tuesday. It will remain accessible to the public there throughout the day.
Free admission to the Centre Pompidou
Anyone wishing to see the World Cup trophy today does not need a ticket or a prior invitation for the presentation at the Centre Pompidou.
The exhibition is open to visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. According to the RFEF, admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. This distinguishes today’s event from the first two days of the exhibition at Málaga City Hall, which required free passes that had to be reserved in advance.
Due to high demand, the free passes for the presentation at City Hall had already been snapped up. Those who missed out now have another opportunity to see the World Cup trophy in Málaga at the event at the Centre Pompidou.
“Reyes del Mundo”: More than just the World Cup trophy
While the World Cup trophy takes center stage in “Reyes del Mundo,” the exhibition aims to offer far more than just a glimpse of the cup itself. The RFEF has designed the presentation as an immersive journey through the 2026 World Cup, allowing visitors to relive the tournament’s events from a unique perspective.
Original memorabilia from the World Cup tournament is being displayed in Málaga. According to the RFEF, this includes, for example, the goal net from the World Cup final, jerseys and football boots, as well as various items from the Spanish national team’s dressing room.
In doing so, the exhibition combines the actual trophy with memorabilia and a multimedia—or immersive—presentation of Spain’s World Cup victory.
Málaga is the starting point of a journey through Spain
The presentation in Málaga is not a one-off event. The RFEF has announced a nationwide tour that will see the World Cup trophy taken to various regions of Spain over the coming months.
The “Reyes del Mundo” exhibition is set to visit all of Spain’s autonomous communities by the end of 2026, with Málaga serving as the tour’s first stop. The idea behind it is that the World Cup trophy should not remain permanently in a single location, but rather give as many fans as possible across the country the chance to experience the national team’s historic achievement firsthand.
At the opening in Málaga, RFEF President Rafael Louzán explained that the exhibition goes beyond a mere presentation of the trophy; rather, it is intended to evoke the entire experience surrounding the World Cup triumph.
Official opening at City Hall with prominent guests
The exhibition opened last Sunday in the Patio de Banderas at Málaga City Hall. Attendees at the official launch included RFEF President Rafael Louzán, Andalusian Football Federation President Pedro Curtido, and Málaga Mayor Francisco de la Torre. The event also marked the start of the trophy’s nationwide tour.
On the first day, the exhibition was open from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Yesterday, Monday, visitors could attend from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Free admission passes via the official RFEF portal were required for these two days; due to high demand, the available passes had already sold out.
Today, Tuesday, the presentation moves to the Centre Pompidou. The approach there is deliberately kept simpler: no reservations, no tickets, and free admission.
A special opportunity for football fans in Málaga
Today’s event is therefore of particular interest to visitors to the Costa del Sol. Those who have not yet been able to see the World Cup trophy at City Hall no longer need to arrange a last-minute online reservation.
The crucial point, however, is that admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone keen to see the trophy should therefore not assume that a visit will be guaranteed right before closing time. The exhibition is open today from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
