Born in Spain and raised in London, Elsa Ibañez combines an international perspective with strong cultural insight. She studied English Philology and Communication Sciences at the universities of Heidelberg and Mannheim, building the academic foundation for her later work in journalism and strategic communication.
For twelve years she worked as an editor for the renowned German radio programme “Menschen der Woche” on SWR3 with Frank Elstner. There she was responsible for preparing international guests, conducting background research, coordinating interviews and contributing to the editorial structure of the programme.
Today Elsa Ibañez has been living in Marbella for more than a decade, where she works as a communications consultant for bdp Berlin. At the same time she serves as Editor-in-Chief of Spain Expat Press, overseeing the editorial direction and coordinating the journalistic content of the publication.
With her intercultural competence, editorial experience and deep understanding of strategic communication, she is a valued partner for media projects, PR initiatives and editorial collaborations between Germany and Spain.
